Inter-page links provide a very useful feature for Network and other diagrams. This provides a 3D mechanism for improving on Visio's standard hyperlink feature.

3D Visioner provides a convenient way to use the power of inter-page links. Imagine that you have several networks, represented with different pages and need to display the connection between these networks. This is just one example, where 3D Visioner inter-page links are very useful. Your 2D Visio drawing does not need to be confined to one page to visually display all connections and relationships betwee objects. Separate your work into several logical parts and assign each part to a separate page. Then link the objects on different pages with inter-page links with just two mouse clicks.

Let assume you have two networks designed on different pages, one in your San Jose office and the second in your Washington office.  The San Jose network is Ethernet, and the Washington network is Token-Ring.  You need to connect "Bridge 1" with "Bridge 2".

In Visio there is no way to visualize this connection, and creating the hyperlinks requires many clicks.

Let's see what we can do using 3D Visioner.  Below is a 3D representation of this diagram, both pages displayed at the same time with their labels.

  1. Select [Hyperlink Creation Tool] from the toolbar.

  2. Click the right mouse button on "Bridge 1" and then on "Bridge 2".

  3. You are done.

  4. To exit from hyperlink editing mode, select [Hyperlink Creation Tool] again.

Below here is the resulting visualized inter-page link.
